"What must I do to be saved?"
An illustrated explanation of God's way of salvation

First, we need to stop, and think about our condition before God.
We have sinned, and our just reward is God's jugement.
" All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3 : 23
2.
We need to realise the danger we are in,
and the need of God's fogiveness.
" The
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord " -
Romans 6 : 23
3.
Thirdly, we need to understand that our
sin separates us from God.
Entry into His Kingdom is impossible in
our sinful condition.
" ...your iniquities
have separated you between you and God" Isaiah
59 : 2
" Except a man
be born again, He cannot see the Kingdom of God " - John
3 : 3
4.
We need to realise that there is only ONE
WAY to heaven, and that is through Christ alone.
" I am the way,
the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me
" - John 14 : 6
5.
We then need to turn from our sin in repentence
and ask the Lord save us and cleanse us.
" Repent ye therefore
and be converted, that your sin may be blotted out " -
Acts 3 : 19
6.
When a person accepts Christ as Saviour, they are assured of God's forgiveness, and a place with Him in heaven for eternity. They then need to continue in His footsteps, relying on His guidance through the Holy Spirit who indwells all believers in Christ.
" For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye sould follow His steps "
1 Peter 2 : 21
